Welcome to my very public corner of the world. (I have a private corner too. That one isn't on the internet(s) though). What is there to say about me? Well, in a nutshell, I am a 30-something chiquita-banana living in the Pacific Northwest (Seattle area, more specifically). I have my own company, adore my kitties, and have recently lost about 80 pounds. Yeah, you read that right. Eighty.
I love photography, traveling, bags and shoes (It sounds like I am writing a horrible personal ad here, don't I?). Even though I am wearing an Ohio State cap in this picture, I never went there. I do, however, like the hat. The picture was taken in St. Malo, France.
My two cats, Sedgwick (the elder) and Sidney (the obnoxious teenager type) are pretty much constant companions. Sedg sleep on my desk, under the desk lamp (like a turtle soaking up the rays from a heat lamp). Sidney is also known as Twitch and Squeak, because he has a back that is a little too twitchy (like that caffeine addicted character on South Park) and he doesn't really meow, but does come in to a room and makes a little squeak to let you know that he's been playing in the litter box. Bravo, Sid!
And here seven random facts for 2007. Normally I write ten, but I can't think of ten right this second, so we'll go with seven.
1. I am probably one of the few people in the world that sends paper/snail mail. I mail stuff all the time. I mean, some things I have to for work and all, but I really do still send cards, letter, postcards and packages. The United States Postal Service is my best friend, followed by FedEx and UPS.
2. I'm a Craig's List junkie. For everything ñ need some random stuff? You can find it here. A job? That too. And the rants and raves / best of? They really are very entertaining.
3. My favorite beer is Stella Artois (warning: annoying, flash-intensive site), but prefer white wines: semillons/melons and voigners, though will settle for a chardonnay in a pinch.
4. My life is overly organized and I like it that way. I have all sorts of very complex lists that record everything to whether I've cleaned the litter box to how many miles I walk/run per day. I would be lost without these lists. Yes, I am neurotic.
5. I love the
6. My new found favorite singer is Norah Jones. I know, she's been around forever. Clearly I am behind the times, and as we all know, musically illiterate.
7. I think that it is very funny that Stephen Colbert can suggest that people go do things (i.e. "Go stand at the Canadian border and wave a salmon") and people will go do it, video tape themselves and post it on YouTube. Yes, Ladies and Gremlins, I am a proud hero in the Colbert Nation (though I still like Jon Stewart much better).
