Happy New Year! It's the first day of 2007, and it is icy here in Maine; so much so that I didn't even leave the house. I was actually pretty down and feeling a little under the weather today too. The shoulder was bugging me and the weather, and generally a bit down. Probably not the best way of going into the year, but the way that it went today.
Simon, my nephew, is now just about 5 months old. This is a picture of Heidi and Simon (borrowed from my brother-in-law; I wasn't using my camera today). He squeals when he is happy (much squealing going on). He made out well at Christmas – pressies from half the world, actually; so much that Alix and Michi are borrowing a suitcase from the ‘rents to transport everything.
I'm here for a few more days, which is good (let the rest of the world clog the airports for a few more days). I have plans to see a few more people, and of course I am working full time for the next few days too. The rest of the world gets back to work tomorrow too, so I expect it will be a busy start to the year. |
