December Sunrise

12.20.2003 21:17

It’s been a bad couple of days in the blogging department. As we have gotten towards the end of the year, I have been fairly bad about this, but work has been busy and with the presentation of the annual cookie extravaganza (the putting together of 6 baskets and 50 bags took longer than expected), I didn’t have time to update this the last few days. Now, with the cookies over, I am back.

This was the sunrise on Friday morning, from out office parking lot. We all stood out there gawking. It was unbelievable.

Todays excitement was driving around all of Seattle/Bellevue looking for a place to activate a cell phone. Dad gave me this cell phone for Christmas that he had gotten from someone in Europe. It is, evidently, a dual band phone, so I can use it in the States, but after driving around to 5 different cell phone places, apparently only T-Mobile (which is German) and Cingular have the right network, and both of them will charge me an arm-and-a-leg to activate it and to have service, because I didn’t buy the phone from them. So, the best suggestion was the eBay it, which is the new plan.

Ben and I decided to do Christmas-present-opening tonight, because of the Vegas thing. I didn’t get Benny anything terrible exciting (clothes and a panini maker) but he gave me a very cool mp3 player and also this digital picture frame thing. It doesn’t work though, so back it goes. I hate it when stuff doesn’t work as advertised. Heidi and Rainer also sent me some books. :) Thank you!
