It was a New England Fall foliage kind of weekend, actually, with drives up to the North Shore (Marblehead) on Saturday and to Southern New Hamster (to climb Mt. Monadnock) on Sunday. The foliage was definitely at peak on the mountain, and if you could get beyond the hoards of people and the crappy trail, it was a fun outing.
And of course, the Red Sox won both of their home games and are thus going to the World Series again. I am not a baseball fan (in fact, Sunday night was the first night that I could even bring myself to watch an entire game), but there is something wonderfully infectious about the atmosphere in Red Sox nation when the team is winning.
