In a picture that Simon will most likely groan over seeing in a decade or so (what are aunties for?!), this is the first day of potty training. It was actually mildly entertaining and proves that he is a smart kid. See, we had gone to IKEA the day before and bought the little throne (for a whopping 2 Euros!). The next day, Alix put it down in the living room and tried to entice Simon to, well, go. Simon would have none of it, made a fuss and we thought that might be the end of the day 1 experiment. Nope, he just picked up the potty, walked to the bathroom and made himself comfortable. Clearly, mommy, you don't pee in the living room!
He even got the concept of toilet paper and wiping, and then put the paper in the actual toilet and flushing. The actually peeing part didn't work on day 1, but conceptually he'd figured it out.
Note: the t-shirt says: I know I'm not perfect, but I am so close. [grin]
The rest of the pictures are up on Flickr. |
