Boston is damn cold, ladies and gentlemen. Damn cold. We arrived last night – flight way fine ‘cept for a bit of a windy landing at Logan – and after checking into the hotel (which is the Hotel Tria at Alewife, which Ben has started to call the Hotel Triage instead of Tria), we took the T into Harvard Square. Nothing much has changed really since we left and both of us remarked more than once that it doesn’t even feel like we left at all. But it was really cold.
Today, so far, hasn’t been much warmer. We took the T into Porter Square, walked to our old apartment (absolutely nothing has changed on that street, although there is a Starbucks in the little strip mall where the gas station is across the street). We walked across the Harvard campus (this photo was obviously taken on campus), down Mass Ave to MIT to check out the new Stata Center (I’ll post pictures of that later), than back to Harvard for lunch and now we are hanging out in the hotel, waiting for Matt to get out of work so that the guys can get their tuxes. It’s a crystal clear blue day.
