frosty leaf
To catch up:
We left Tofino on Tuesday morning, after repairing a flat that Ludwig got while we were barreling down one of the logging roads. While having a flat (front right) isn’t a great thing, at least it didn’t happen while we were on that logging road, nor on the pass, and it was surprisingly easy to replace. Thank god Volkswagen gives you a full-size spare.

The pass over the middle of Vancouver Island had gotten snow, so Route 4 was a bit tricky to get over, but Ben did brilliantly and we didn’t lose too much time. Between the tire replacement and the slower than normal driving conditions, we made it to the ferry with all of 10 minutes to spare.

The border crossing was easy-peasy with our new NEXUS passes. It takes more time stopping at a toll both on the New Hampshire turnpike than that crossing now.

Since we’ve been back, it’s been a bit helter skelter around here. Lots going on, which will be the case until Christmas. I seriously have a lot to do in the next 3 weeks. And it’s really cold here, which is unusual. It never gets cold here! Happy December!

And finally, this is a great little story.
