Miscellaneous stuff:
My Christmas cactus almost got it right this year. Normally it blooms around Easter. It's in full bloom now, so this year, it is a Thanksgiving cactus, I suppose.
We might get snow in Seattle (or the Eastside) over the weekend. The weather has been really crazy this week anyway. Tuesday brought a wicked thunderstorm with 50-60 mile gusts and a dumping of hail. A little snow would cap off a month of unprecedented precipitation.
Even spam slows down on Thanksgiving. On average, I get about 1000 pieces of spam a day (I don't actually see most of this spam because it is nicely caught by my spam filter, but there is a little counter that tells me how many are in the folder). Yesterday, I only got about 400.
Even though this is the busiest shopping day in the year, in this country at least, I may actually go to a store today. |
