All you multilingual, German-English speakers out there will appreciate this:
Yesterday, I drove past the (one of) the Lutheran churches in Hellevue (typo intended) and their silly church sign out front read:
Gift someone at Thanksgiving this Year
Now, for those who don't know, the ‘gift' means ‘poison' in German. Hence, for those of us with slightly messed up minds, that sign read:
Poison someone at Thanksgiving this Year.
